4-Year-Old Girl Beaten To Death

Calvin Morris Lewis, 21, was arrested and charged with felony murder and aggravated child abuse for the beating death of his girlfriend’s 4-year-old daughter.

Police responded to a 911 call on April 25, for an unresponsive child at the 6200 block of Northwest 3d Avenue.

According the medical examiner, the girl had extensive trauma to her liver and other organs. Her death was classified as a homicide.

Lewis had been alone with the girl that evening. He stated that she became unresponsive after they had been playing in a rough manner.

Lewis is being held without bail.
