Walgreens Tinkler Faces Charges of Criminal Mischief

Larry Donell White, 22, a Florida resident, was charged caught on camera at a Sanford Walgreens relieving himself on packages of cough drops.

He was arrested and is facing charges of criminal mischief and property damage when White was caught on the store’s video tape urinating over packages of cough medicine.

According to police, White damaged over $300 worth of cough drops. Police found White after they received a tip. White contends he is innocent, though does admit to visiting Walgreens in the past.

Criminal mischief is defined by Florida statute 806.13. This crime involves acts of intentional and malicious destruction of the personal property of another. This can include any type of vandalism or graffiti. Criminal mischief can be either a misdemeanor or a felony. The penalties involved depend on what type of property is has been vandalized, the monetary value involved, and if the defendant has any prior offenses.

If the damage to property is valued at less than $200, the crime is classified as a second-degree misdemeanor and is punishable by up to 60 days in jail and/or a fine of $500. If the damage caused by the crime is valued at between $200 and $1,000, it is categorized as a first-degree misdemeanor and is punishable by up to one year in jail and a $1,000. fine. This crime can also be a felony, depending on what type of property was damaged and the dollar amount of damage involved. Also, if you have any prior convictions for criminal mischief, it is possible to be charged with a third-degree felony.
